Increased amount of chromosomal breaks in cultured blood lymphocytes or other cells induced by treatment with ionizing radiation.
Increased tendency to chromosomal breakage induced by crosslinking agents is typical for several disorders including ataxia teleangiectasia and Nijmegen breakage syndrome.
