The presence of autoantibodies in the blood circulation that react against Ro/SSA autoantigens.
Anti-Ro/SS-A antibodies alone are found in 50-70% of Sjoegren syndrome and 30% of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with cutaneous involvement.
