Megakaryocyte nucleus hypolobulation

What it means

The presence of megakaryocytes in the bone marrow whose nuclei are less lobulated than expected for the size of the nucleus.

Megakaryocytes with a hypolobulated nucleus can be seen in normal bone marrow but numbers are increased in some patients with myelodysplastic syndrome.
