What it means

A type of focal autonomic seizure characterized by symptoms or signs pertaining to the gastrointestinal system as the initial semiological feature.

This includes epigastric sensations (which may rise up to the chest or throat) such as upper abdominal discomfort, emptiness, tightness, churning, or hunger, as well as ictal nausea and ictal vomiting.
