Enchondroma

What it means

A solitary, benign, intramedullary cartilage tumor that is often found in the short tubular bones of the hands and feet, distal femur, and proximal humerus.

Most patients have no symptoms. Enchondromas are often identified as incidental findings on X-ray examinations. Enchondromas usually have a radiographic appearance that is long and oval with well-defined margins.
