Cerebellar edema

What it means

Swelling from fluid accumulation (serous fluid infiltration into the interstitial space) in the cerebellum.

Cerebellar edama can manifest on magnetic resonance imaging as hyperintense T2 and FLAIR signals, which do not show restricted diffusion.
