Biconcave vertebral bodies

What it means

Exaggerated concavity of the anterior or posterior surface of the vertebral body, i.e., the upper and lower vertebral endplates are hollowed inward.

This finding has been called fish or codfish vertebra because of the characteristic biconcave form of fish vertebral bodies.
