What it means

Overproduction of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), which generally leads secondarily to overproduction of cortisol by the adrenal cortex.

This term refers to increased production of ACTH. If additionally hypercorticolism is present, this should be coded separated with HP:0011744.
