Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an optical method for cross-sectional imaging with a resolution approaching that of histopathology and a depth of penetration of a few mm. In ophthalmology, OCT has become a standard of care for retinal imaging. This term groups abnormal findings that are considered OCT-specific.
