What it means
Abnormal increase or decrease of total monocytes, or their phenotype, in the blood, compared to a reference range for a given sex and age-group, measured ex vivo.
Mmonocytes are myeloid mononuclear recirculating leukocytes that can act as a precursor of tissue macrophages, osteoclasts and some populations of tissue dendritic cells.
