Any deviation from the normal concentration of ceruloplasmin in the blood circulation.

Ceruloplasmin is a serum ferroxidase responsible for 90 percent of copper transport. Also, ceruloplasmin is a positive acute-phase reactant, meaning its levels will increase in inflammatory conditions or cell injury.
