If you are caring for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease or a related illness such as dementia, this program may provide you with help. The types of services you can get to help care for your loved one may include in-home help, adult day care, transportation, and respite care (a break from caregiving). To take part in this program, you must have limited income and be caring for someone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related illness.

The types of services you can get to help care for your loved one may include in-home help, adult day care, transportation, and respite care (a break from caregiving). The program may also provide additional help with nutritional supplements, home-delivered meals, security systems, special clothing, and chair lifts.

To find out how to apply for this program, contact your local Area Agency on Aging. You will need to provide a doctor’s statement that you are caring for someone who is being treated for Alzheimer’s or a related illness.
