Persistently decreased total neutrophil count

What it means

Abnormal decrease of the absolute number of neutrophils in the blood, per microlitre, compared to a reference range for a given sex and age-group, which persists for 3 or more months.

Often defined as neutropenia with an absolute neutrophil count (ANC) less than 1,500,000,000/L lasting for more than 3 months.
