Hemosiderinuria

The presence of hemosiderin in the urine.

Hemosiderinuria leads to a brown color of urine. It is a marker of chronic intravascular hemolysis, in which hemoglobin is released from RBCs into the bloodstream in excess of the binding capacity of haptoglobin.
