Generalized clonic seizure

What it means

Generalized clonic seizure is a type of generalized motor seizure characterized by sustained bilateral jerking, either symmetric or asymmetric, that is regularly repetitive and involves the same muscle groups.

Generalized clonic seizures are much less common than are tonic-clonic seizures, usually occur in infants, and should be distinguished from jitteriness or shuddering attacks.
