What it means
The concentration of mucin-16 (also known as CA-125) in the blood circulation is above the upper limit of normal.
Cancer-antigen 125 (CA-125) is used as a biomarker for ovarian and other cancers. Mucin 16 (cancer antigen 125) is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in promoting cancer cell growth in ovarian cancer.
