Dalen-Fuchs nodules

What it means

Nodules (yellow-white subretinal pigment epithelium lesions) that form between Bruch membrane and the retinal pigment epithelium.

Dalen-Fuchs nodules may be observed with sympathetic ophthalmia, a rare, severe condition that typically presents as bilateral diffuse granulomatous uveitis secondary to trauma in one eye. Dalen-Fuchs nodules could be also observed in Harada disease.
