Anterior chamber flare

What it means

An abnormal appearance of the beam of light traveling through the anterior chamber of the eye in a slit lamp examination. The flare is produced by an increased concentration of proteins in the aqueous humor in the anterior chamber.

Anterior chamber flare grade 0 (i.e., a normal finding) should be coded as the negation of this term.
