What it means
An acquired type of sensory aphasia where damage to the brain leads to the loss of the ability to read.
Note that dyslexia refers to a developmental reading disability, whereas alexi arefers to an acquired reading disability related to damage to the brain in an individual in whom reading ability had previously been developed.
