Abnormal memory CD4+ T cell proportion
HP:0410379
What it means
Abnormal increase or decrease of the memory CD4+ T cell subpopulation, commonly characterized as CD45RA-, CD45RO+, or CD27-, measured as percentage of total CD4+ T cells in the blood, compared to a reference range for a given sex and age-group.
Unlike in CD8+ T cells, in CD4+ T cells the populations of central memory, effector memory and TEMRA cells are not easily measurable and or are of limited clinical utility. Therefore, generally, only the distinction between naive and memory CD4 T cells is made.
