Erythromycin has several clinically significant drug interactions, particularly with drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
- majortheophylline — increased serum theophylline levels and potential toxicity
- majorverapamil — hypotension, bradyarrhythmias, and lactic acidosis
- moderatedigoxin — elevated digoxin serum levels
