West Virginia Utility Assistance Program

State

If you are behind on paying your utility bill, this program can provide you with a grant to help you pay for your past due amounts. You can apply for this program if you have limited income and have an amount past due with your utility company. Before you can get help from this program, you must have applied for all open and available state and federal programs—such as the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (also called LIEAP)—and you must have paid part of the balance on your outstanding bill.

About this program

If you qualify, you may receive a grant to help you pay for your past due amounts. The grant is applied directly to your utility bill. The funds are not always available.
