About this program

## How can this program help me? The Property Tax Deferral Program can give you extra time to pay property taxes on your primary residence (home). It does not cancel the property taxes you owe. You will have to pay interest on any delayed property tax. You can delay the payment of your property tax for as long as you own and live in the same home. The delayed taxes and all interest charged must be repaid to the state if you sell or transfer your residence. ## How do I get help? To apply for this benefit, print and fill out the application form and mail it to your local tax office.
