The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) provides major economic and energy security benefits for taxpayers on a National and Local level. The Bureau oversees the safe, responsible development of oil, natural gas, strategic resources, and critical minerals on the Nation’s Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). BSEE’s work supports taxpayers, coastal states, and Tribal communities by promoting reliable production of these offshore resources while upholding rigorous standards for safety, environmental protection, and resource conservation.
