This program can help you if you are having trouble paying your home mortgage and you are at risk of foreclosure. You must meet the program’s income guideline as set by the county you live in. The amount of your mortgage cannot exceed a level as set by the program.
About this program
This program can help you if you are having trouble paying your home mortgage and you are at risk of foreclosure. Services may include:
- Principal reduction assistance: The state will work with your lender to change the terms of your mortgage, reduce your loan’s principal balance (the total amount you owe), or lower the interest rate on your current mortgage.
- Second mortgage settlements: Get cash assistance to pay off some or all of the balance of qualifying second mortgage loans.
- Unemployment/Underemployment mortgage assistance: Get help with finding funding to reinstate your delinquent mortgage if you lost your job and are currently having trouble making payments because of a drop in your personal income .
Please note: Some services may be limited based upon the funding available and the type of mortgage you have.
