You can get help from this program if you are caring for an older relative or a friend who is at least 60 years of age. You can also apply if you are taking care of a younger relative or friend who is at least 18 years of age and has a physical or mental disability.

- **Financial assistance:** You can get money to help you with out-of-pocket expenses.
- **Home modification:** Get a one-time grant of up to $2,000 to make home modifications (changes) such as installing chair climbs, building ramps, or modifying bathrooms.
- **Counseling services:**Get connected with a mental health professional who understands your struggles.
- **Personal assistance services:** Get help caring for your relative or friend. This includes services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- **Respite care:** Enjoy a brief break from your caregiving duties so you can take care of yourself.
